Dr. Affan Ahmad completed his B.D.S. as part of the 3rd Batch of KMDC in 1999. He undertook his house job at the Dental Hospital, KMDC, and Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. In 2008, he was admitted to the first batch of the MDS program in the Science of Dental Materials at Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad Khan Institute of Oral Health Sciences (DUHS), and was awarded his postgraduate degree in 2014.
Dr. Affan joined KMDC as a Lecturer and was promoted to Assistant Professor in 2015. In 2022, he was entrusted with the charge of the Department of Science of Dental Materials.
A committed academician, he performs his administrative duties with diligence. He has authored numerous scientific publications and has actively participated in research projects and the mentorship of both undergraduate and postgraduate students at Karachi Metropolitan University. He is also regularly invited as an examiner for undergraduate and postgraduate examinations by various medical universities.
Dr. Affan has a keen interest in diet, nutrition, and lifestyle modifications aimed at promoting healthy living.
