Karachi Medical & Dental College (KMDC) is a premier institution of KMU dedicated to excellence in medical and dental education. With state-of-the-art facilities, experienced faculty, and a commitment to research and patient care, KMDC offers comprehensive programs in M.B.B.Sand B.D.S, preparing students for a successful career in healthcare.
Founded in 1991, KMDC is Pakistan’s first municipal medical and dental college, affiliated with Abbassi Shaheed Hospital. It pioneered merit-based admissions by introducing entrance tests, setting a new standard in medical education. Initially enrolling 50 MBBS and 25 BDS students, KMDC now admits 250 MBBS and 100 BDS students annually, maintaining its reputation as a leading public-sector institution.
